TIDES Institute 2016Georgetown U. ], June 28-July1, 2016
I attended the third and last Institute at Georgetown University, along with Sarah Moore, of Engineering, and Joe O'Rourke, also in CS. All the teams, including the honorable mentions, presented the progress they made on their very different projects in front of a panel of three judges in "tribunals." While I have serious misgiving about the format and name of this activity where the judges and the teams vote thumbs-up or thumbs-down on the presentations, it was fun to find our sister team of Bryn Mawr, and our indefatigable, energetic, and caring coach, Sumi Pendakur of Harvey Mudd.
