I upgraded my wiki to the latest version of MediaWiki.  In the process had to change the skin and update a few extensions I used to control access to my pages.  Also in the process created a mirror wiki on Amazon Web Services (AWS), using an ''EC2'' instance with ''ECB'' storage, along with automated backup (using ''duplicity'') to ''S3'' storage.  I'm keeping this mirror operational, but not public yet.  This was mostly an exercise for me to learn how to use and integrate various technologies offered by AWS, including ''Route 53''.  Not too complicated, but not that simple either.

Upgrading Media to Version 1.30

Jan 2018

I upgraded my wiki to the latest version of MediaWiki. In the process had to change the skin and update a few extensions I use to control access to my pages. Also in the process, I created a mirror wiki on Amazon Web Services (AWS), using an EC2 instance with ECB storage, along with automated backup (using duplicity) to S3 storage. I'm keeping this mirror operational, but not public yet. This was mostly an exercise for me to learn how to use and integrate various technologies offered by AWS, including Route 53. Not too complicated, but not that simple either.
