I upgraded my wiki to the latest version of MediaWiki. In the process had to change the skin and update a few extensions I use to control access to my pages. Also in the process, I created a mirror wiki on Amazon Web Services (AWS), using an EC2 instance with a LAMP stack, using an ECB drive for storage of the wiki php and mysql database, along with automated backup (using duplicity) to S3 storage. The mirror is synchronized to this wiki every 24 hours.
I'm keeping this mirror operational, but not public yet. This was mostly an exercise for me to learn how to use and integrate various technologies offered by AWS, including Route 53. Not too complicated, but not that simple either.
