Latex Skeleton for Simple Articles and Tech Reports
--D. Thiebaut (talk) 10:55, 27 June 2013 (EDT)
This skeleton is comprised of several files:
- ACM-Reference-Format-Journals.bst
- acmsmall.cls
- acmsmall.cls.org
- algorithm2e.sty
- skel.bib
- skel.tex
- url.sty
- v2-acmsmall-sample.bbl
- v2-readme.txt
These files come from the v2-acmsmall Latex style provided by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and available on their Web site at www.acm.org/publications/latex_style.
The main file that will contain the document is skel.tex, and the bibliographic entries will be stored in skel.bib, which already contains many entries. It is not necessary to remove them, as the Latex and BibTex compilers will be clever enough not to include the references that are not cited in the paper. These extra references provide a good example of how to format references to many different types of articles.
The files presented here have been modified from their original form to provide a suitable template for technical report that haven't been submitted to publication yet, or are in the process. All the ACM copyright information as well as the information pertaining to the journal of publication have been removed.
The 1st page of the pdf generated by this small skeleton is shown below:
